How to Store Chocolate Truffles made with Sweetened Condensed Milk

Even though this recipe makes a big batch of truffles, they never stick around very long!

Room Temperature

Store the truffles in an airtight container, so they don’t dry out. They can be left at room temperature for 2 days.

Fridge

Store the truffles in an airtight container, so they don’t dry out. This will also keep them from developing other food odours from the fridge. They can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.

Make sure to allow them to warm to room temperature for the best taste and texture before enjoying them!

Freezer

To freeze chocolate truffles I prefer freezing them for 1-2 hours on a lined baking sheet first. Then placing them in an airtight container. This will partially solidify the chocolates first before packing them. This will prevent any of the truffles from sticking together or getting smushed in the freezer.

Package the truffles in an airtight container or freezer bag. Store in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Make sure to allow the truffles to defrost to room temperature, for the best taste and texture, before enjoying them.
