Meet Rebecca from Flour and Filigree
Welcome! I’m Rebecca, Mom of 4 hungry kids and 1 equally hungry husband, culinary grad, and lifelong lover of scratch-made food with a story.

I live in a small town in Canada where life is quiet, the seasons matter, and food brings everyone together.
My culinary style was shaped by my grandmother – with flour and the counter, cookies baking in the oven, and listening to her stories. You can learn more about her here.
She passes down to me her handwritten recipes filled with generations of real, traditional dishes.
After culinary school, I realized the best food wasn’t fancy, it was nourishing, simple, and made with love.
Now I cook for my big, hungry family everyday using those same recipes. Simple, honest, from-scratch food with vintage charm and zero pretension, that anyone can make at home.
Whether you’re craving comfort food, looking for family friendly meals, or looking to reconnect with the way people used to cook – you’re in the right place.

Where this all began
Most of the recipes that you find here are from my grandmother’s recipe box. They are all either recipes she made often, or recipes from her friends and family. If you made something she loved, she always asked for the recipe afterwards!
Since I was a small child, I spent a lot of time with her. She taught me how to sew, how to live a healthy balanced life, how to dance, and the importance of exercising your body as well as your mind.
So, now I get to share all of that with you! A life-time worth of knowledge, experience, and love!
