How to Store a Monte Cristo Sandwich

This sandwich is best served warm and fresh. However, they can also be made in advance as a meal-prep.

Fridge

  • Allow the sandwich cool completely so steam doesn’t get trapped and make the sandwich soggy.
  • Wrap in plastic wrap, foil, or place in an airtight container.
  • Store in the fridge for up to 24 hours for the best texture and flavour.

Reheating (Highly Recommended)

For the best results, reheat in a skillet or oven to re-crisp the bread. Avoid the microwave, it will make the egg coating soft.
