  2. To a large oven-proof skillet on medium heat, add the beans, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of pepper, and a 430 ml jar of salsa.
  3. Stir and mash these ingredients together until thick and creamy.
  4. Remove from heat.

5. Finely dice 1 medium tomato and 1 small bell pepper.

6. If you are not serving the dip in the skillet, transfer the bean mixture to a large shallow dish.

7. Spread 1 small 250 ml container on sour cream on top of the bean mixture.

8. Layer on top the diced tomato and pepper.

9. Layer on top 1 cup grated cheese.

10. Serve with tortilla chips, pita bread, and fresh vegetables for dipping.
